Oak Hills Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned country club located in Ada, Oklahoma.  Established in 1926, Oak Hills serves as a social and recreational center for Ada and the surrounding community.  The Club recently completed construction of a 14,000 sq foot clubhouse. Brief Job Description:

The Clubhouse Manager's duties include: recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising all F&B staff; event planning, pricing and execution; marketing and promoting club events; maintaining inventory and overseeing beverage control; preparing and maintaining budgets; and responding to and anticipating members' requests. In addition, this position reports directly to the board of directors and also helps to oversee club maintenance, housekeeping, and pool/tennis. As a visible member of the management team, this person must successfully complete these duties while exemplifying the mission and values of the club.

 

 

This position requires an experienced, professional, self-motivated manager able to create a positive work environment; provide on-going training to the staff; and ensure that the staff provides friendly, consistent, and quality service to the members at all times.  This person will manage a portion of the operating budget and schedule staff according to the labor budget. 

 

Candidate Qualifications

Candidate should have at least three years club/restaurant management and fine dining experience; banquet and special event planning and management; excellent communication and intrapersonal skills; attention to detail; inventory management,  budgeting and pricing; and have the ability to interface in an experienced, professional manner with staff, head chef, board of directors and the members.  Strong computer skills including POS computer experience.

 

Educational Qualifications

A college degree with a hospitality focus is preferred but not required.  High School diploma required.

CLUB DETAILS: Manhattan Country Club is an 89 year old country club located in Manhattan, Kansas, home of Kansas State University. The Club has 600 members with an average age of 55. Set on a large hill, the Club features an 18-Hole, par 70 golf course, outdoor pool, and a two story clubhouse over looking the city. The Club is just finishing up a $5 million dollar expansion and renovation project, scheduled to be done by June 2008.

Dining facilities include a formal dining room that seats 50, a banquet room that seats 225, and two casual dining rooms seating up to 180 inclUding deck seating. Concessions are proVided both on the course and at the Pool Cabana. The Club does an average gross volume of $2,200,000 with annual food and beverage sales of $950,000. The club is open 7 days a week, 11 % months per year.


BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager. This person shall be responsible for the day to day operations of the dining and banquet rooms. It will be this person's job to assist the Food & Beverage Manager to monitor and maintain excellent customer service, food quality, adequate product levels and acceptable labor costs. He/She will hire, train, schedule, and supervise all service personnel. The person in this position will be required to participate in monthly beverage inventory and monitor costs on a daily basis. This position will require and average of 55 hours per week.


CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: High energy, out-going personality; eagemess to leam all aspects of the Club Industry; and a passion for the service industry. Knowledge of computers necessary and training experience a plus. Experience in the Club or Hospitality Industry is a must. It is the objective for this position to eventually take over the Food and Beverage Manager position.

The Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club is seeking an individual who is well versed in fine dining, enthusiastic in bringing new ideas to our membership, be able to offer personable and attentive service, and who is motivated to further their career in Club Management.

 

Established in 1911, the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club is Oklahoma City's oldest and most prestigious private country club. The Club offers our 1060 member families the finest amenities and services in the City. The Club is very family oriented and offers a variety of activities for members of all ages.  The 90,000 square foot English Tudor-style clubhouse has an outstanding reputation for being the center of social life as well as a tradition of excellence.  Clubhouse facilities include; 8 private dining areas that can seating up to 600; outdoor terrace seating 200; men’s grill seating 80; ladies grill seating 60; mixed grill seating 90 with patio seating 20; cocktail lounge seating 30; Maxwell dining room seating 80; poolside dining seating 80; a golf course snack shack seating 40; and a new wine cellar and dining room.  Additional facilities include an 18-hole par 71 Perry Maxwell golf course; 5 outdoor lighted hard and 3 indoor tennis courts; and a 4,500 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center with personal trainers and massage therapy rooms.

The position reports to the Clubhouse Manager.  The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Clubhouse Manager with overseeing of the food and beverage operations, maintenance, housekeeping, valet, swimming pool, and locker rooms.  The successful candidate will be energetic, visible and caring leader with outstanding member relations and communications skills.  This person should be highly organized; possess good management and leadership skill.  As a professional they must have uncompromising quality standards with a keen eye for detail.  The candidate must be a self starter that will inspect the what is expected, be a passionate and creative thinker with a can do member service attitude. 

 

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of proven food and beverage management experience with multiple dining venues in private clubs.  Extensive wine and beverage knowledge and hands on experience with first class service is desired.  Knowledge of budgeting, housekeeping, and facility maintenance are also necessary.   This is a great opportunity for an individual to use as a stepping stone in advancing their career.  Candidates should be pursuing their CCM certification or have already attained certification.

Hardscrabble Country Club is an active 82-year-old member owned private country club supported with 600 members located in the beautiful River Valley of Western Arkansas in Fort Smith.  The Club hosts The Fort Smith Charity Classic; an annual golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. Facilities include a beautiful colonial style clubhouse with 4 private dining areas that can be combined or segregated for parties up to 300, men’s grill seating for 50, mixed grilled seating 75 and a cocktail lounge for 30.  Additional facilities include; 18 hole championship golf course, 4 har-tru tennis courts (2 0f which are inside courts), 4 clay courts, children’s wading pool and full size recreational pool with poolside snack bar .  The Club is open six days per week 12 months per year. Fort Smith is wonderful place to live. The cost of living is very low with a lot of recreational activities available in NW Arkansas.

 

The Clubhouse Manager reports directly to the general manager and is accountable for all areas of clubhouse service including: food and beverage, housekeeping, swimming and locker rooms. Responsible for operation of all aspects of club operations in the absence of the general manager.

 

Candidate Qualifications

The clubhouse manager will oversee the food, beverage and service programs. Excellent organizational skills; Excellent communication skills- must enjoy interacting with the membership. A "hands on" manager- able to create a motivating work environment, provide on going training to the staff; Ensure that the staff provides friendly, consistent, knowledgeable service to the members at all times; responsible for overall clubhouse appearance; Work with executive chef and GM to develop innovative menus and proper pricing structures; Able to schedule staff according to labor budget; responsible for controlling labor costs.

 

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of proven food and beverage management experience with multiple dining venues in a private club setting (or similar environment). Extensive wine and beverage knowledge with hands on experience with first class service is desired. Computer expertise in Point of Sale, Word and Excel software is essential. The Kansas City Club is one of the premier private clubs in the Midwest.  The Kansas City Club is home to 500 members and is located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  Notable past members include President Harry S Truman and General Dwight D. JOB DESCRIPTION

 

  1. Implements general policies established by the Board of Directors and directs their administration and execution.
  2. Plans, develops and approves specific operational policies, programs, procedures, methods, rules, and regulations in concert with general policies.
  3. Develops, maintains and administers a sound organizational plan and initiates improvements as necessary.
  4. Establishes a personnel policy.  Initiates and monitors policy relating to personnel actions, training and professional development programs and yearly monitors the Employee Handbook as it pertains to changes of labor laws, rules and regulations.
  5. Maintains a membership with the Club Managers Association of America and other professional associations; attends conferences and local chapter meetings along with educational workshops to keep abreast of current information and developments in the field.
  6. Coordinates development of operating cash and capital budgets according to the budget calendars.  Monitors monthly budget and other financial statements.  Takes corrective action as required.  Prepares and make final reports to the Board of Director.
  7. Coordinates and serves as ex-officio member of appropriate Club committees.
  8. Welcomes new Club member; meets and greets all Club members as practical during their visit to the Club.  Proactive in the retention and recruitment of Club members.
  9. Provides advice and recommendations to the President, the Board and corresponding committees about construction, maintenance, materials, supplies, equipment and services not provided in approved plans and/or budgets.
  10. Consistently assures that the Club is operating in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
  11. Monitors all licenses (example, liquor, health, cigarette, barbershop, business licenses).
  12. Oversees the care and maintenance of all the Club’s physical assets and facilities.
  13. Coordinates the marketing and membership programs to promote the Club’s services and facilities to potential and present members.
  14. Insures the highest standards for food, beverage, fitness, entertainment and other Club services.
  15. Establishes and monitors compliance with purchasing policies.  Review and approves purchasing procedures and requirements.
  16. Manages cash flow and establishes controls to safeguard funds.
  17. Works with Department Heads to schedule, supervise and direct the work of all Club employees.
  18. Confers with the Departments Heads about personnel related matters, including their compensation, job changes, timely performance evaluation, etc.
  19. Attends all meetings of the Club’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
  20. Reports member infractions to the Board for necessary action.
  21. Serves as a liaison between all management staff and Board.
  22. Develops, maintains and disseminates a basic management philosophy to guide the employees to optimal operating results, personnel morale and member satisfaction.
  23. Negotiates with vendors for bids and recommends the final bid for Board approval for the final contract.
  24. Authorizes purchases and oversees proper receiving and storage and insures proper control of all product supplies and equipment.
  25. Handles emergencies such as fires, accidents, health, and breaches of security or house rules promptly and in person.
  26. Insures proper e-mails are sent on a timely basis weekly to the members and that Web Page is updated in a timely manner.
  27. Makes bank deposits daily or as available.
  28. Does daily walk through of the entire property to inspect the facility to insure cleanliness and security and that all equipment is in proper working order.
  29. Establishes on an annual basis the Christmas bonus as it pertains under the rules to those employees who qualify.
  30. Monitors payroll weekly through the department heads and finalizes bi-weekly the final amount for payment.
  31. Prepares minutes for all committees and the Board.
  32. Performs any and all other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors or necessary for the successful operation of the Club.
